Fooling Around

Okay, so I'm not NaNoing per say. But I decided to take the advice of a friend and just fool around with a few of those floaty things that seem to be captivating my mind during the drive home from work. I was worried that working on something else would take my mind too far away from my current, sometimes eternal looking WIP. And maybe it has to some degree, but its nice to work on something different even if it is just for me. Who knows where the break will take me. So I'm with ya, sort of, just unofficially. Hows it going for you?

  1. Tammy, sometimes you have those "back-burner" projects which your mind wants to work on, and needs a break from the major one. You'll find that the one you're working on won't go away, just as long as you have notes and things. I think we tend to fear that we might sever the umbilical cord to our work when we take a break from it. Sometimes by exploring something else we get fresh ideas for the main work.
I say go for it. See what happens.

  2. Things are going slowly for me. I keep tweaking and working and hopefully will get the end of TLP done this week (I know-- I've told you that the last 4 weeks!)

Looking forward to taking a peek at your back burner project. If you are anything like me, switching your thoughts to a new project opens the dam on what you are stuck on on the old one!
